time really flies. last i wrote was somewhere in the first week of sep. am glad you 4 are keeping it alive. diwali didnt feel like diwali at all. we had to go out and shoot for an open assignment. so we started on the morning of diwali and went to a friends place in coorg. no diyas, no crackers, no mithai, no pooja. but somehow i didnt miss the action. probably cuz i know im gonna be back home in a few months.
and dude dont spread wrong info abt me. i dont party mch. infact have gone to the only lounge bar in town (which, ofcouse, is the most popular hangout joint of the batch) only once. party karne ke liye toh life padi hai. btw, since NRIs are coming in nov and dec, i'll ask them to buy some equipment for me if (i) its reasonably cheaper there and (ii) you can buy it without any hassle. will let both of you know.
weather is great in ooty these days. so all of u are once again invited to come n see how beautiful nilgiris is. AB and vid are coming dwn to chennai for the wknd but unfortunately i wont be able to go n see them.

Its the same here Mili
I just read that NY and London are celeb Diwali in a big way...I'm sure it is a policital move and no1 cares about the feeling...Obama's pic with folded hands and the Queen's pic with a Bhangra group has been all over...
But seriously Diwali, and most of our festivals, are only meant for smaller towns...not people producing machines like metros...yahan par there is just no connect,no feeling...and problems like traffic, kill whatever joy is left....I mean how can you expect anyone to be happy if he/she spends 2 hours to travel 10 kms...its just insane.
Mili,I know what you mean though about being home at Diwali....it always is special...last night only we were remembering the excitement of getting ready early morning, dragging dad to buy crackers, then buying sweets and waiting for the evening so that puja is over jaldi so we can go to each friends house....it was good fun...and like all other things, time has changed this also...now we are against crackers 'coz they are harmful to the earth, sweets are not good for health and for who are not with their family, puja is a formality and most friends are busy...well,such is life and all we can do is try and not give in to the laziness/indifference which the current generation seems to embracing...its not cool ye know ;-)
So cheer pp Mili...ethg can be as good/bad as we make it...we'll try make it up for you when u r in India :-)

Moving and inspiring
I am sure all of us are thankful to God for what we have, but as Vid reminded me that day...we conveniently forget this and crib a lot :-)....not to lecture, but this video is really humbling...and the 6.5cr views it has,may have led to a lot of realisations...came as a fwd to me.
One day a son asks his father:
"Daddy, will you run the marathon with me?"
The father answers yes and both run their first marathon together.
One day, the son asks his father if he wants to run the marathon with him again and the father answers yes. They both run the marathon together again.
Then one day the son asks his father:
"Daddy, will you run the Ironman with me?"
(the Ironman is the toughest...it requires a 4km swim, 180km biking and 42km running).
The father says yes again.
This all sounds easy...see the video now.

US celebrating it big???
You must b kidding Anubhav!!
I had to email people today one day before Diwali that please lets organise a pot luck and puja at someone's place before the day goes by like ny other day and I am depressed in the evening..
Though somehow festivals specially Diwali has always been very nostalgic for me..and I don't remember a single Diwali when I don't cry but I do miss taking ma to the mandir and then just standing with her in our balcony and looking at the fireworks in the sky..its a special moment..just me and her..its quiet but special and then she makes some nice paranthas and we talk late into the nite listening to her fireworks outside..Its not a very loud diwali at my place but its still special!!
This time my sister is in Chandigarh so I am glad my mom won't b alone..
Though Kaushal's parents will feel it..This is the only time in the year he is religiously at home with them and his bhaiya bhabhi...
Nidhi will be with in-laws..M sure NY will have better diwali than Nola...what are others doing for diwali??
So guys wish you all a very very happy diwali...have loads of fun..
Love and Hugs

Festive Season...where
Heylo peoplz....should I just start saying hello mili and nidhi :-)...since you both are abroad and would not have seen the coverage on the launch of Panamera in India, let me have the pleasure of telling you that the new Porsche Panamera is here....finally, if I may add ;-)....not that life has changed drastically, but yes the madness has gone down by a degree....
Yest nite we were planning a cards party....and we also got a special poker chips set like this

but bob was busy so both of them dint come....divya got stuck at work and then the traffic was crazy so both of them dropped out...we had invited some more friends who also got stuck at work...so all in all it was a huge success...2 of them came at 11.30 and then we played till about 1...and I won Rs 500 :-)...first kamai of the season...2 days before the season ends...great na!!
We are planning to go to bhopal for diwali...but again it will be a 2 day trip...life is so consistently hectic...only constant for all of us I guess...except for our ace lensman maybe...jisko jab bhi phone karo, ya toh party chal rahi hoti ya get together...and what is the diff...acc to sir, party is when u have music playing...but achcha hai...he's finally put up some pics on FB,which again shows ki usne 2 mths mein kaam sirf yehi kiya hai
Any other update,hmmmmm.....Motu is buying a new car...I think he has booked the Ford Fiesta...GC is a little less than a month away from being a proud father...Vidya M has fully recovered and is back at work....Uncle as usual is super busy...was in del for a week...but I just met him for like 10 mins...and the fault is comply mine, as it was a day before the Panamera launch...
Anyways, back to work guys...hope you guys have a nice Diwali...heard both US and Japan are celeb it big time this year...good for you...'coz yahan toh the only way u realise that it is festive season, is the traffic
