Some options that have come up are Pithoragarh, Nahan and ranikhet....motu is supp to get back with some more....
Kosal, as expected, has said that lets scrap the trip and every1 shud go on their individual chuttis....he wants to go to bangalore and spend some time there with a friend...who has been calling him for quite sometime now....

Ladakh - TBC
Howz george doing? Heard better....and btw on the ladakh trip....nidhi's voice made motu forget his mantra in life - footage khana....and he agreed to come to ladakh...but now he's started his attempts to make up for the lost footage...and is saying ki cant come, fite ho jaayegi yaar :).....the deadline to book tickets has been extended till mon as bobby's boss will come back on mon....the confirmed junta is I,vid, nidhi, kosal, deva zee and my bro...motu and boby are tbc's....I'l ask mayank also if he can make it....this is just a test to check if he reads the blog ;)
Chalo will get back to work....chow :)

The first lady has made it very clear on their plans for Ladakh....but I would still request them to reconsider....I have tried convincing lil bro also...his prob will be chutti esp when he's taken 3 'coz of the viral fever...but he's gonna try for sure...and thats what I think all of us shud do...try,try and I am sure we will succeed :)
Motu hasnt responded at all....nthg new....maybe we need to float a rumour that baby is in ladakh during those days....the first ever bull fight in Ladakh....obv by bull I mean baby....and a la christina she will be dressed in "dirty" clothes....which will sure be an attraction for our "hygeinic" dude...come on motu, its been long time we all met yaar...deva ji ki entrapment, I mean engagement also u missed...not done man....
Deva is in town till t'row and then he'll be touring UP...he's expected to head back on fri...unless we manage to hold him back....but holding him back isnt going to be our headache for long....NRI Bhaujaai is moving to delhi very soon...planning to take up a job and a sep house in delhi....so the delhi trips for deva ji are gonna be more frequent...till the time of the byaah and by then hopefully HP will trfr deva ji back to del.....
Ohho more work....chow :)

Newaz was reading the blogs about our plans of going to Ladakh. Sorry for being the party-pooper here but I don't think George and I will be able to make it for this one...our parents will freak if we suddenly decide to go on an extended weekend trip now.
You guys plz plan and go ahead with whatever works for evrybdy, George & I will come for the next one, once we officially become the "first couple".....won't need to seek permission frm anybdy then.
Btw....he's still down with fever & throat infection...seems to have caught a bad bug...Jhaad Phuk karana padega...bachcha bimaar hote rahta hai.
So is Deva coming to del tomorrow? If he is then lets all catch up.....C U pplz...
Uncle is in town tonite or t'row mrng I think...lets meet up and maybe I can make a full fledged speech :).....gotta get back to work....howz george doing btw? lil bro is also down with viral....

Dont know about the lucky three but honestly I was waiting for kosal to put up the pics so that all us were on the same page....but I think only two of us lucky ;)....since we got away with a really "close" shave.....that was one experience man....but patna was overall gd...and the roads were much better that what all of us expected....even the dhakkan flight wasnt too bad...the famous bihari hospitality was at its best...with deva ji's younger bro in full attendance with us....we tried our best to entertain him but dont know how succesful we were ;)....the ceremony was also nice and as "dulhe raja" had predicted it, was crowded...but overall it was a very happy happy feeling around so no1 had probs with the crowd...deva zee was a bit flustered when the puja and all was happening...but when he realised that he is just a couple of photo opps away from food, the smile came back (pics are proof).....
In that heat, obv we dint go out sight seeing...altho Animay (Deva zee's bro for the uninformed) sugg the zoo :)....gd trip in short....in short 'coz I have to get back to work....chow :)
Aane ka fayada nahi coz I don't think i'll accomplish much..but never mind last nite was really worth it. After a long time all of us attended such a bhasadi party together+ kosal ji maharaj ka "happy to u" bhi tha + the match (its a different thing that I slept of during the most exciting time of the match!) but all in all it was an evening very well spent.
Ok now can't think of anythin else to write. I'm jst feelin so confused. Dunno why i'm writing actually. Maybe I should stop rambling on and get back to work. All u pplz have a gr8 day....... Ciao

Plans for tonight
Geoffery's has two big screens, 3 TV screens and they won't play any music during the match(that's what I was told by the manager...have requested some people with superior IQs to check again as they feel I won't know the diff b/w big screen and TV screen!!). Hope the venue is ok with all.
Newaz..this was just to confirm the plan..hope everyone's coming. Anubhav i'll just check with gullu babes if she's comin or not.... you just might have the special privilege of enjoying our company(Gullu & mine:-) on your way to Del.
See u all in the eve..adios!
Ranikhet as an option
Coming back to the present....sorry 1st couple could not meet u guys yest as we were out with the family....but tonite lets meet up for "the" match...m thinking of supp germany, 'coz I want them to lose ;)....
Thursday, June 29, 2006
As far as jokes on uncle go....I spoke to him yest and he said the same....ki tum log toh mera mazaak hi udaate rahoge...but being the "good" friend I have assured him that jokes will not go out of our circle....so he stays the TDH dude until......his luck runs out I guess ;).....but chill uncle we will try and maintain the decorum...if there is any, with the hawaai fires going on and people eating 70 rasgullas at a time ;)
But all said and done...m toh looking forward to this trip big time....and as far as the l'now trip goes....had disc it with Nidhi and Kosal...and both of them thght if v r gng out lets go to a thanda place....but since Divya has work there and we need a brk so l'now is also fine....lets deci quickly but....
Chalo another day begins...2 more days to go to patna :)

Anywaz on a more serious note, would have loved to come for the grand event but me off to Cal next week and with less than 3 months to go for our own D day, every weekend the only thing my parents want to do is to shop till we drop.
Mamu & I are were planning to go to lucknow towards the end of July and wanted to check with you guys on the same. I need to meet my bro there and pick up a few things for the shaadi. Since Gullu talked about the trip just wanted to know if the rest of the junta would be keen on going to Lucknow...Its definitely not as exotic as Kinnaur but could do for a weekend trip nonetheless. Do let me know so that we can make plans accordingly(will need to book train tickets I guess) Uncle can obviously play the perfect host and show us around the happening
town :-)
For the ones who finally go to Patna this weekend apart from the pics etc...make sure you have enough anecdotes to bring back and narrate to us lesser mortals who couldn't make it for this big day.
Deva...sorry for not being able to come this time but will definitely make it for the wedding..koi baat nahi agar ekdum interiors mein bhi ho!!
None of the bosses are in office today...after a really long time my day at work doesn't seem all that bad any more!Gotta go now..catch you all later..Ciao.
trip
vidya was suggesting kinnaur.. else kahin pe bhi chalo... but chalo.. please guys all of u atleast put ure thoughts to this...
and kosal, aabhas n anubhav.. enjoy the trip and take some snaps and post them on the blog once ure back...
Mota is as usually doing goli baazi....but the biggest ditch came from the HS people....as in she had all the creds to represent us in front of the NRI's...but what to say....maybe travelling in the bus was sthg that put her off...or she wud have been 2 embarrassed with us....jo bhi hai....hum toh patna ja raha hoon....
Btw are we thinking for a wkend break....ab toh one more wicket down hai...v shud do sthg jaldi...kya pata aur kaun kab kat jaaye....
We are going to Patna!!
As Uncle clearly mentioned the other day that the wedding is gonna be held even in more interiors of Bihar, we should at least make it for this event.
Motu too has said that he will try to make it via Ranchi and all that. But looks dicey for him. Would have been good fun if all of us would have been able to make it. Chalo at least we will have some "desi" ( and by that I mean bhai and me!) representatives at the NRI meets Bihari liasion.
Looking forward to it eagerly.

Congratulations
While I am sure most of us will be keen to go, the kind of shrt notice Uncle has given will be a bit tough to manage, though it will be an event to remember. There will be a 21-topon ki salaami types ka jashan in the Deva household.
Chalo if the Indo-Pak dispute is still going on, a dispute of a similar magnitude has been solved at least. While foreign returned wife is good news for uncle, I do agree with Mamu that we mite be considered a bit Desi for her standards. The only one who can strike a conversation with her has to be Mr Kaushal. With his "Can u talk English, walk english, eat English (without grammatical mistakes)" routine.
Mufti has given the best remark on this event. He said something on these lines ,"Yaar, devaji ka toh bhediye wali kahani hai....itni baar announce kar chuka thha pehle, ki iss baar yakeen nahin ho raha"
Congrats once again!
WHOA!!!
Chat Mangni Pat Byaah
Patna is the venue and the date is 2nd July...dont know how we'l manage to reach....M sure every1 will be loaded with work...but lets meet today, if possi so that we can deci on the travel plans :).....
Incidentally this post is the 100th on our blog...so thats our 1st century....from May 8th to June 26th....not bad, eh :)...neways Gotta go....have a conf in del today...so will be that side in the eveng...if we plan to meet....chow :)

Apologies to Divya
Uncle ne toh posts ki bahaar laga di....very good uncle...but R Kipling thoda too much ho gaya na...as in what was the connect...it's a very nice piece but still....forgive us lesser mortals for the ignorance ;)...but ur conv with the gaswallah has been very accurately captured I guess...and the inzy one....hmmm, dint have so many the's actually....
Mota ke baare mein kya kaha jaaye....but I dont think we shud undermine the achievement...how he wud have gone to his dad and got this done is no small feat....bravo motu...too bad the it wasnt punjab's cm or maybe he cud have put in a word to dharmender also ;)....
Kosal is as usual missing....mayank is going back to mumbai today and will be back only around oct I think....
Baaki toh kaam as usual....chow :)

carry on uncle
Absolute masterpiece......mamu, no need to guess the writer!;)
In a sporting world of swollen egos, pouting stars, silly belligerence on the field, artless sledging, he has never undignified the adulation he has been given.
Somehow through it all, his riches, his deification, his life turned into an unending episode of reality TV, Tendulkar has maintained a sense of proportion. Except now some of us are losing ours.
Judgement of Tendulkar in recent times in some places has been hurried, harsh and disquietingly rude. He failed in the Test series against Pakistan and he was Endulkar, he scored a century in the first one-dayer and he was Tondulkar, a grand career glibly reduced to a slick headline.
But then this is the age of provocation, where some pundits confuse volume with wisdom, and cricket is turned from game into tamasha (commotion).
Mocking ability
Reasonable observers like Gavaskar and Shastri remain, but they are in danger of being drowned out by more strident voices. Moin Khan, hardly the most chaste of cricketers, is giving us hysterical lessons in sportsmanship, while some former Indian players make a loud living offering bold and often banal pronouncements. Not that any of this means that Tendulkar is immune to criticism, or that he is above scrutiny. He is the man in the arena and must be judged, like others, not on reputation but performance.
He does not ask for favours, but only to be accorded the same dignity he has brought to the game. We need not swoon over him, neither must we revile him.
But to blithely dismiss him as had been done recently, to mock his ability as some do, to say he is afraid of fast bowling as others contend, is painful and unedifying.
Tendulkar was always a reluctant God and perhaps it is just that we have become impatient worshippers. His decline may eventually be more revealing about us than about him. Perhaps we have spent a lifetime perceiving Tendulkar as a batting superman and are unsure how to deal with him as a man, a human batsman who fails, who makes mistakes.
But after 17 years even the machine, and so many saw him as one, has to wear down, its mechanics occasionally faulty, and for some this is a revelation. What did we expect, that he would never grow up, that he be 16 forever? Are we?
When Tendulkar scored his 35th Test century recently it was said quickly, here and there, that he was back to his best. Of course, he wasn't, he cannot be.
But this is no surprise; what is a surprise, and thus a tribute to Tendulkar, is that his career stayed so brilliant so long, his embrace of discipline so constant that it stands unmatched in recent times and perhaps not just in cricket.
Sure his consistency has been somewhat amputated, but this is a natural progression; he is no longer the all-time great practitioner of the batting arts, but he remains a very good one. His 95 in the third one-dayer in Pakistan, on a pitch that was alive, had his captain, Dravid, in raptures.
Suggestions that his career is done with are laughable, for it is not as if India's bench is littered with superior talents who are being denied an opportunity. Men must earn their place, Tendulkar still is earning his. Over the hill he may be, but he is still more accomplished than other men at the top of their mountains.
Evident struggle
Roger Federer remarked recently that despite the apparent ease with which he dominates, some days tennis is hard work for him and he must labour.
For Tendulkar, it was the same, so fluently did he play once that we did not see nor appreciate his struggle, his singular focus of mind, which ensured that bad days or good, he found a way to produce his best for India.
Now his struggles are more evident, and yet there is a particular pleasure in watching Tendulkar past his prime, it is moving yet instructive to watch a champion return from injury and grapple with his game, propelled by a desperate, undying belief that even now, so many years later, he is still, dammit, good enough.
Tendulkar is a proud man, always has been, and if his instinctive genius has slowed then it is educational to watch a batsman remake himself, to find a new style that suits him, to stay relevant as a player even now.
He has defied everything for nearly two decades, bowlers, pitches, expectations, and now he is challenging time. He will face it head on; he always does.
One of these days it will end, maybe next year after the World Cup, maybe later, and this will be interesting, too, for modern sportsmen are loath to admit their moment has passed, taken kicking and pleading from their field of play. Retirement is a final admission of failed skills, it is these days an expensive decision as well.
Tendulkar, when he goes, must go of his own hand, it would be the only honourable departure. But that can wait. For now let's lock away the cheap criticism and the sweeping judgements, and enjoy the final chapters of a decent man and superior batsman. The season of Tendulkar is not yet over.
One of the favorite Mastrmind answers
If
If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or, being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster And treat those two imposters just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to broken, And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch; If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run - Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!
--Rudyard Kipling

Inzy Bhai
Inzamam's interview after Pakistan's lossInzy's interview - One man who entertains wen cricket matches r over.Rameez: So Inzy, disappointed with your performance today?Inzy: Bismilla-e-rehman-e-rahim. Thank you allah.ya the indian batsman is play very good today. we is try very hard but is not win the game.Rameez: Any words for Dhoni?Inzy: Ya dhoni is play very well. He is hit his shot very hard in our gaps. In start, we is protect our gaps very well. the grass is also thick.. but dhoni is split our gaps with his bat.Rameez: Another ordinary bowling performance?Inzy: Ya our balls is loose. the bowler is went for many run. Asif is bowled well. Also, after some shots the ball is out of shape. umpire is not give another ball.. it is tough to play with one ball.Rameez: Dropped catches.. did that prove costly?Inzy: ya the ball is not stick to our hands. we is practice a lot sticking our bat in our hands.. but now we is more practice sticking balls in our hands.Rameez: Any plans for the next match?Inzy: ya India is on top but we is try to bounce on our back. Insha allah we is play better.Rameez: All the best InzyInzy: Thank is you.

news from raipur: Motu has used daddy's connexxions once again to impress top bosses at BPCL. He personally arranged a meeting for his GM with the Chhattisgarh CM. It apparently was a big crisis BPCL was facing which Motu has helped in solving. Now everyone is happy. The bosses for utilising Mufti's core competency and Motu ne apni ek saal ki haraamkhori ke paap dho diye!
And he has shown once again..."when in doubt...goto Daddy"

yellow
funniest football joke!!
World Cup Fever
It is just before the England v Brazil match. Ronaldinho goes into
theBrazilian changing room to find all his teammates looking a bit glum.
"What's up?" he asks.
"Well, we're having trouble getting motivated for this game. We know
it's important but it's only England . They're sh*te and we can't be bothered."
Ronaldinho looks at them and says, "Well, I reckon I can beat them by myself. You lads go down the pub."
So Ronaldinho goes out to play England by himself and the rest of the Brazilian team go off for a few jars.
After a few pints they wonder how the game is going, so they get the landlord to put the teletext on. A big cheer goes up as the screen
reads
"
Brazil 1 - England 0 (Ronaldinho 10 minutes)". He is beating England all by himself!
Anyway, a few pints later and the game is forgotten until someone remembers, "It must be full time now, let's see how he got on." They put the teletext on.
"Result from the Stadium 'Brazil 1 (Ronaldinho 10 minutes) - England 1
(Lampard 89 minutes)."
They can't believe it; he has single-handedly got a draw against England!! They rush back to the Stadium to congratulate Ronaldinho.
They find him inthe dressing room, still in his gear, sitting with his head in his hands.
He refuses to look at them. "I've let you down, I've let you down."
"Don't be daft, you got a draw against England , all by yourself. And they only scored at the very, very end!"
"No, no, I have, I've let you down. I got sent off after 12 minutes."

During the Angola vs Portugal match the TV commentators mentioned something about World Cup groups, prompting my confused wife to ask "Do they get three points for every goal?"
Watching Germany/Costa Rica here in the States with the better half, when the TV commentator makes a mention of the "12th Man":
She: What did he mean, 12th man? I thought there were 11 players?
Me: There are only 11 players.
She: I only see 10.
Me: Including the keeper?
She: Oh... so who is the 12th man? One of the substitutes?
Me: It's a term for the home fans.
(5 seconds of silence)
She: So how do they choose what fan gets to play? Is it random or did they win a contest?
Jesus wept.
Whilst watching the opening game of the world cup I tried to get my girlfriend Julie to take an interest and was talking about Jens Lehmann. I mentioned that he's an Arsenal player and that being an Arsenal supporter I wanted him to have a good tournament. She replied. "How can he play for Germany if he's an Arsenal player?"
Commentator: "He was unable to train due to a cruciate knee injury."
The lovely Lady: "So what knee is more crucial than the other?"
I work with a bird who having watched the Italy - Ghana game, came into the office and said, "Which one of the Ghana players plays for the Czech Republic?" Her name is Lisa H, and she is a constant source of entertainment.
From a girl in my office during a conversation detailing the finer points of qualification from the group stages; "What happens if England and Sweden win all their group games?"
I'd just turned on the France/Switzerland game when my sister-in-law perched on the sofa next to me, took a look at the the ticker at the top of the screen - FRA v SWI - and asked "Why are France playing Swindon?"
Whilst watching the opening between Germany and Costa Rica, my wife challenged me with the following questions: "When a team scores a goal and the players jump on each other to celebrate, do they ever jump on someone from the other team by mistake? And if they do, has that ever started a fight?"
My wife was watching the England v Jamaica warm-up game and commented "It's not fair - England won't give the other team the ball.
While watching England v T&T my friend's bird who for the life of me I can't remember the name of cos I don't pay attention, but she does look a little like the bird from Harry Potter says... "Can goalkeepers use their feet?" I just looked at her and shook my head.
Watching football with my girlfriend on Sunday I was talking about exactly where I was going to watch England's next game, my girlfriend asked "So who do we play next then?" I said that our next game was on Thursday against Trinidad & Tobago to which she replied with a puzzled look on her face, "what, both of them?".
My receptionist - "When are england playing next?"
Me - "Tomorrow morning, 2am"
Receptionist - "Who against?"
Me - "Trinidad and Tobago"
Receptionist ' "TWO GAMES?"
...I was out having a smoke after the games on Saturday, when I heard a great exchange between two random drunken birds which went as follows.
Random bird one: "Did you see any of the football today?"
Random bird two: "No, why? Who won?"
Random bird one: "England beat Sweden, and Trinidad drew with Tobago"
...My girlfriend Jackie used to think that "injury time" was the time at the end of the match when both teams tried to injure the opposion!
...I have just got tickets for Brazil v Australia. I am obviously excited. I tell my other half. Her reaction: "Why would you want to go and see Brazil play"
Today will be a better day :)
Weekend plans toh r stuck with panauti man....and I know some ppl will say ki its coz v discussed on the blog....I dont agree with them but if not discussing wkend plans on the blog means we can have some fun, I am game :)....kosal wanted to go out and he had made that v clear at Morrison....but Gullu (dats a v funny one ;) ) met with a bad accident....thankfully nthg happened to her but the car has set her back by 35k....so obv no plans cud materialise...altho we met Kosal at PVR....minks,ayan and kosal then went to ruby tuesday....so sthg was better than nthg for Kosal....
Deva zee lived upto his repu and dint come on sat....btw we saw phir hera pheri yest...and any1 who sees it will miss Uncle a lot....'coz in every 2nd diaogue, Paresh Rawal goes "Devaa Deva Devaa"......overall its an ok movie but some jokes are too funny :)....2nd half was a drag.....Uncle was listening to Kailasa live in lucknow yest.....things one wud do out of boredom :).....
WC will hot up now I hope...all the big names are act disapp....they r winning but nthg too great....France had a draw again yest....n I read somewhere that 1 more yellow card for Zizou will be the end for him....altho the way they r playing m sure Zizou wud want 1.....
BTW this mth end kosal wants to take his bike back to c'garh....and we are thinking ki lets go biking to c'garh....I have told Uncle and he'l also try and come for this....v can try for the 1st wkend in july...by that time hopefully Kosal's home will be well prep to welcome us :)
Just got to know that have to go for a meeting to del....so ciao it is :)

Thursday, June 15, 2006
wives, girlfriends, fiancés, mothers, sisters, daughters, etc. To all women in general. These rules are to be communicated prior to the World Cup in June/July
this year...
LIST OF RULES
1. From 9 June to 9 July 2006, you should read the sports section of
the newspaper so that you are aware of what is going on regarding the
World Cup, and that way you will be able to join in the onversations. If you fail to do this, then you will be looked at in a bad way, or you will be totally ignored. DO NOT complain about not receiving any attention
2. During the World Cup, the television is mine, at all times, without any exceptions. If you even take a glimpse of the remote control, you will lose it (your eye).
3. If you have to pass by in front of the TV during a game, I don't
mind, as long as you do it crawling on the floor and without
distracting me. If you decide to stand nude in front of the TV, make
sure you put clothes on right after because if you catch a cold, I
won't have time to take you to the doctor or look after you during the World Cup month.
4. During the games I will be blind, deaf and mute, unless I require a refill of my drink or something to eat. You are out of your mind if you expect me to listen to you, open the door, answer the telephone,or pick up the baby that just fell from the second floor....it won't happen.
5. It would be a good idea for you to keep at least 2 six packs in the fridge at all times, as well as plenty of things to nibble on, and please do not make any funny faces to my friends when they come over to watch the games. In return, you will be allowed to use the TV between 12am and 6am, unless they replay a good game that I missed during the day.
6. Please, please, please!! If you see me upset because one of my
teams is losing, DO NOT say "get over it, it's only a game", or "don't worry, they'll win next time". If you say these things, you will only make me angrier and I will love you less. Remember, you will never ever know more about football than me and your so called "words of encouragement" will only lead to a break up or divorce.
7. You are welcome to sit with me to watch one game and you can talk
to me during halftime but only when the commercials are on, and only
f the half-time score is pleasing me. In addition, please note I am
saying "one" game, hence do not use the World Cup as a nice cheesy excuse to "spend time together".
8. The replays of the goals are very important. I don't care if I have seen them or I haven't seen them, I want to see them again. Many times.
9. Tell your friends NOT to have any babies, or any other child
related parties or gatherings that requires my attendance because:
a ) I will not go,
b ) I will not go, and
c ) I will not go.
10. But, if a friend of mine invites us to his house on a Sunday to
watch a game, we will be there in a flash.
11. The daily World Cup highlights show on TV every night is just as
important as the games themselves. Do not even think about saying "but you have already seen this...why don't you change the channel to something we can all watch??", the reply will be: "Refer to Rule #2 of this list".
12. And finally, please save your expressions such as "Thank God the
World Cup is only every 4 years". I am immune to these words, because after this comes the Champions League, Italian League,
Spanish League,Premier League, etc etc.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Regards,
Men of the World
Btw I forgot to tell u guys yest....Monki has passed his 2nd year also...got 64% and is officially in the 3rd and final year at IHM.....so sat we have one more reason to party :)
Yest again India could not do anything...I saw the match till Wi were 6 wickets down....germany apparently had a thrilling finish, with a goal in the 91st minute....but I that was the only minute in the entire match which was thrilling...otherwise it was a very dull match...thats what I tght....
Chalo me goes back to work....chow :)

Just read Vidya's blog on the weekend plans...I agree not too many plans have worked out on this blog but still was very tempted to put up one last plan for the weeknd.
Was just thinking that since the entire jingbang might be here ths wknd( deva kosal & co.) then maybe we can all party at Orange room first and then head for south ex after that (Gulia babes you need to please check and let us know if we can all crash out at South ex).
Junta can then catch up on football/cricket/ mastermind etc...whatever people fancy. Pplz plz write in and let see if this plan is workable or not.....gotta go now..catch ya later. Hope this blog isn't that manhoos after all;-)

Kick Off
One paper (dont know HT or Times)carried the headline something related to Joga Bonito..mayank and nidhi..its Joga and not Soga!!Anyways the headline had Joga Bonito which means Play Beautiful but one of our leading national daily had it translated as "Beautiful Football". Christ! Dont know how they are designated to write about something as beautiful as football.
Siddharth Saxena of Times...who had writeen the infamous "Endulkar" article redeemed himself in my eyes by writing a good piece on why one shouldn't bet on Brazil The only quality piece out of the 50 in the papers!
As they as say Let the Games Begin!!
Kosal was so desp for a room mate...hope the room mate is a deadly mix of u know who (read Minks and Deva) when it comes to keeping the house clean ;)....then he'l understand ki living alone is better off....waise knowing kosal he wud have checked the roomie achche se....or shall i say thok baja ke ;)...maybe thats the reason they r living together....m sure his roomie will intro Kosal to his friends as a happy and gay person ;)
Monki and mamu have gone back to their slumber again it seems...I hope the WC will get them to write, MSN had some interesting trivia on WC...altho m sure most of u will know it already ;)...and where are ze ladies :)....no1 has time or wat..
As far as Footage goes....this is his teaser campaign....saala yahan bhi footage hi khana chahta hai....motu remember...jo garajte hain woh baraste nahi....and esp jo itne lazy hain ;)....but m sure the only reason he isnt writing is 'coz he must be busy at the "mantralaya" or cud be that his GM's grandson's daughter is coming to Raipur and he is busy deciding on the menu, getting the cooler repaired in the office etc ;)
Kaam aa gaya....me goes :)

Sach-Deva
Good to know kaushal has found a house...I-Bank colleague ko palkon pe hi rakhna...kahin aur nahin!!
Motu has warned me that he will have some nasty story abt me on this space today....but mote u should know..."Extensions always suffer" But no qualms...go ahead!
Good boy Kosal
13,14th are weekdays so kosal has chosen the right days....dont think we'l b able to go out anywhere...dude hope u r not staying at the guest house....
I have a couple of WC planners...with the entire schedule and groups....very kool....in case ne1 wants any....
The day is hectic as usual....ciao :)

btw, i'll b in del on 13th n 14th...........hav a meetng in del. n wll get a post-paid fone vry soon n wll call up all u guys frequently. pre-paids suck big time.
gud to c george here. n was vry vry happy to see vidya krishnan's name on sunday's page 1 story.........im proud of u my child, withiiiin 24 hrs...........u've turned NASA into......satyanasa ;)
Welcomes again :)
Actually the movie could be a biography....and wud defi be better than the Hindi version....and no doubts who will play Antara Mali's role....is that y our scriptwriter bumped into some1 at TC ;)......
Now lets keep the bhasad going on....Uncle is also missing and so is the new "Teli" on the block...Kaushal "aissse" mat kar yaar ;).....gotta go, in the middle of sthg....
All the Bust!
Uncle is I guess busy biting the heat and dust in UP while Kaushal does the same in Punjab..Nidzzz is off to Goa for the weekend...where she will be sipping beer and enjoy the rain and sand! Heard its pouring badly there...While Divya looks to make Chandini Chowk her second home till the W-Day!
Inside Man was neat..but abrupt ending. Denzel's one liners are to die for in the movie!..some of them are absolutely incredible. Clive Owen too was pretty good...played the part very well.
Dont think anything is possible for the weekend as race and football is on air! And as far as watching games in pubs is concerned...all good games are midnite..so that goes outta the window...but still we can go and catch some action.
Motu i dont why is abstaining from writing here...he too is going to bombay sometime next week...Please pray ladies and gentlemen...mufti runs into Esha Deol (baby is a word far too better word to be wasted on someone like her!!) Otherwise ala Mast....next time any of you are in Mumbai...chances are u will have Motu driving an Auto..circling around her house!
Ahh...Ramu's factory has another story too look at! But this time it will be called "Bust"...here is how the story goes:
A small town Johnny (mote..u dont deserve to be called big city lad after ur stints in Merrut, Raipur, Jabalpur, Patiala, Bhopal and Sangrur!) after trying his luck and hand (pun intended) on every second girl he met finally falls for a Bollywood heroine (in between a few "parrots".... flew in some parties). He drives his friends crazzzzy with stupid bull crap about her. A few friends start insulting the heroine. Johnny gets upset! Threatens to screw everyone's lives. In between throws a few comments like "I am off". Enter a Murari from Bihar....who holds some dark deep secrets about Johnny! The usual blackmail goes...and Ala Hatimtai Johnny knows his life is in a parrot's neck! (Motu...is there some fascination for parrots?)
Anyways..one fine day Johnny goes to Mumbai Nagariya...in hope of meeting the love (or shall we call it lust?) of his life. Sweats it around for a coupla days realising that he has to stay there forever to find true love. And as they say..hope springs eternal, he starts driving an auto near the area where she lives. Tired and exhausted, one day Johnny is sitting in a Chhamiya Bar...when suddenly (with the movie Hum's music when AB gets angry is playing) encounters lust of his life gyrating and doing some pelvic thrusts! In the background he sees the Mast hero....He knows the truth! Johnny is heartbroken! He realises that his plans go Bust...and what he was after was actually the Bust of the Lust!
With a qualified auto driver's license in his pocket and tears in his eyes..he returns to his old life of tennis, sleep and muftkhori!
THE END!!!
Last heard...Steven Spielberg is looking for Johnny to act in the Hollywood remake of Bust!!
P.S: Sorry people...getting majorly bored at work! As they say "An empty mind is a Devil's Workshop"
Disclaimer: All the characters in the story are absolutely fictional. Any resemblance to people living or dead is merely coincidental!!...hahahah!!!!
Welcome the Punjab Ka Munda
Good point monki raised about inviting Bobby and Pallavi....no one rep on that...toh main kaise invite karoon....atlst yes hi bol dete.....and honestly I dont know whether both of them want to be a part of the blog or not....so will the resp ppl plz ask them :)
Me and minks saw Inside Man last nite....Denzel Washington is too kool....altho Jodie Foster toh cam back unnec...no need for her in the movie....the bank robbery was awesome....but overall an incomplete movie....MI III is releasing on the 9th..

History did not repeat itself
This week looks slightly better....spoke to kaushal yest...is in c'garh....looking for a house....how sad na that he cant write on the blog....or he wud have given us updates on wats going on....but its understandable that he's busy....with 'S'o many women in his life, its not diffi to be busy....;)
Mota toh lets not talk about....mote yaar pehle bata deta ki english mein itna likhna tere liye tuff hoga...I could have found out a hindi blogging site....and this isnt isf also jahan par toh cut copy kar ke likh deta....koi baat nahi, I hope u pick up something that u can write on......btw did u c sehwag's new look...again he reminds me of the look u had in between :)
Me and li'l bro went to the adi sale...which was just for employees and their family/friends....and it was pure madness.....I mean the way people were literally snatching things....minks tried to snatch a t-shirt but the other end was held by an aunty who could have easily been from WWF (no pun here ;).....and obv he let her have the t-shirt....very wise move it was...
Blues was fun....esp coz we left before he could have played Himesh....overall the music was good...but HS people were hosting the dinner...its been long since we went to South Ex and played mastermind....lets hope this saturday we can make it....
Finally I saw Da Vinci....its a good movie....although Audrey Tautou is a very bad choice for the movie....she appears to be shocked all the time...whereas in the book the character is really smart...Tom Hanks also wakes up in the 2nd half....Lee teabing is the best character I thght...and obv the ending was awesome....any verdict on Inside Man.....heard Denzel Washington has done a damn good job....I am sure Uncle will be the 1st one to give the review...but Lucknow mein toh it will called "andar ka aadmi" ;)....btw I heard some1 predict the other day that within 2 years lucknow will be the place....and the beauty quotient is also going up.....I am sure no city has done this much for an RSM....keep it up Lucknow ;)
I am sure no1 here has the chutti to go to Kanha....but we can try going out for 4 two wkends...1 for c'garh with Kosal and 1 for the Nawabon ka shehar....I am not using the word p**n here ;)...
Too long a post this is becoming...hope some1 else also writes....or mebbe Mamu can put some quiz questions on this....sthg interesting it'l b.....ciao it is then

History mite repeat itself
Every1 still seems to be very busy....anyways tu tu it is from me

I am here
I have a suggestion to make...lets stop using the word plan (at least on the blog). As it becomes a Moo Point (ala Joey). Whatever thts decided on this space never materialises. So lets stick to conventional mediums like phones and SMS to decide what we plan to do.
Anyways TC was good fun as usual great music. With regard to bumping into people, I shall leave it to Nidhi and Uncle to elaborate on that as they will surely have a field day describing it (especially Uncle).
TC needs bigger table and need to keep chairs far away from the table for Uncle. Poor guy cudnt fit into a chair! And not exaggerating..nidhi can be an eyewitness!
Mufti has given me strict warning of not mentioning baby on the blog anymore...he will sending out personal requests to people who make lewd but true comments about her.
Where is every1
But I think we shud learn from Uncle....he went for X Men - III alone....no coordination, no planning...just got up and went....way to go uncle....and thats the way I think all of us shud be....mayank also went yest with his dearest.....lil' bro tried but dint get the tickets....honestly I dont think that we shud plan so much for movies....it v diffi to get 9 ppl to agree on one show timing and one theatre....and we just end up missing on movies....
Saturday TC was apparently a lot of fun....I was playing good boy so cudnt go....but Uncle was supp to put in on the blog...my bro's meeting with Mote's "sister".....Motu are u reading...or still at the mantralaya ;).....and so was lil' bro....on why uncle had to change seats ;).....Bobby's friend Nonu, who became NoNo at Buzz got rechristened again on Saturday....this time it was Monu by Nidhi ;)
I,mayank and nidhi went for Fanaa that day....BAD movie.....if ur getting tickets for free then u shud go.....like we did....otherwise ghaati movie....I just cant belv that Aamir Khan did a movie like this....Mayank will write a review today....he has been planning since sat....its a case of
"blog-fright" I think ;)
Okay peoples....write sthg yaar....waise hi life itni boring hai....dont add to it by not writing :)

R.I.P. BPCL
Instead of Bihar Idol it should be called Kam ya Zyaada....and the choice of judges is bang on....I am ready to do PR for free ;)....
If last week she wasnt upto it toh this week it'l be even more diffi....woh din door nahi hai when v'l hear ki some1 at adidas was killed....her boss is treading some dangerous ground man...but this week no1 has written on the blog also....everything ok at the White House na...no posts from there....
Lets meet up this wkend but pakka....no more bhaav khaoing....
God Save BPCL!!
While talking on the phone with me...Birthday Man had a call on the other line..and he conveniently told the other person..."bahut garmi hai...mantralaya mein hoon" while he had parked his ass in his AC bedroom and was reading about Shevchenko's immiment move to the Russian Army.....Now this is what we call life!Khao piyo...aish karo Mittron!
Arre...Uncle has been missing for quite sometime now...Cant make jokes on ur appetite dude as u arent here...but still on ur recent visit to Bihar...hope u came close to beat the Bihar record of eating 70+ rossogollas after dinner! Mebbe you could sell the idea to a TV channel of starting a "Bihar Idol" on the lines of hogging as much food as u can! With Mufti and you being the judges and the role of Farah Khan can go to....ummmm....ur guess is as good as mine!;) And btw there is a race in France this weekend....mebbe we can see Nicole Kidman this time in Relault's pit!
I think its my turn to do some drama this weekend of not doing anything as in someone else's words "I am not up for it"..seriously i am too frickin tired...neways ppl who wanna come do come...no more cajoling and pattaoying to come somewhere.....jisko aana hai aao...nahin toh suit yourself!
Think i wrote too much...time to shut my trap and get back to work!
Baby's Boy
Kal Mamu called with info on a great quiz site...and m quite surp that he hasnt put the link on the blog...I was outta office the whole day yest and m levng today also....big time crisis on a client....so in case mamu doesnt I'l find it put it on....the 2 q's he asked me on the fone were awesome...bhasad quiz it sounded....
Nidhi has some passes for Fanaa tonite 7.30 show, courtesy Air India....but dont know if me and lil bro will be able to make it....mayank is very keen...so lets c....no news on Da Vinci...when r v watching it.....I'l be in del 2nd half t'row...and so will be minks...so maybe we can look at t'row eveng for Da Vinci.....
Wednesday, May 24, 2006
mubarakan....
Da Vinci please
Hope Kosal finds a kool place in c'garh....atlst v'l get a wkend getaway....btw sopke to mufti yest....swati has escaped but he says that the reason that he gave was ki wavelength nahi match huyi...10 min ki talk mein mota wavelength bhi match karna chahta tha ;)....and the 2nd reason is the obv one ;)....to which his family (obv his mom) said ki faltu baatein mat karo :))....
But mufti has a very valid point...lets go to kanha....10-11 june is a wkend....lets go then....ohh but the nidhi is in goa then....so mebbe v can plan for 17-18th....kaafi time hai lets do it yaar...everyone can plan their chutti too....if v can deci on the date then I can speak to Dad and try and get the stay free....or if not free then down to the minimum...so that'l take care of the costs also....
Party is defi due...although the massive hike sounds more massive than it actually is....but m not complaining at all :)....I toh was thinking of gng for a movie and then drinking at south ex...v can go out to a nice (read expensive) place when the money actually comes in i.e. in July....
Why isnt Mamu writing yaar....monkey toh is lazy but I'l get after him to write sthg today....come on pplz....write sthg...
Tuesday, May 23, 2006

Another weekend...more plans
Next week Parikrama and some other bands are playin..If we have to go for this rock fest then going next weekend will be a better idea rather than going today. I don’t want to pay double the entry fee only to hear music that I’ve never heard before.. If its ok with evyone lets think of some other place plz........
Also, if ultimately there’s no plan like most other weekends (We have historical data to support this finding so nothing to feel bad about!) would be nice if at least the women are told about it instead of us having to chase all you guys to check if ya’ll be kind enuf to indulge us only to be told in the nite tht there’s no plan and da few good men are happy in each others company. Not nice!

and yeah if anyone gets the chance to see it...then dont miss it...if we start waiting for all us to watch it together..then it wont ever happen...so dont feel guilty or anything...go ahead and watch it!
Anyways mamu...motu not cmng on wed now..he is here on thu..so look for a place to watch the final!dont trust ur cable walah....goto Radisson and have uncle's company for the finale...he is good luck charm for arsenal...but the condition is he has to be enthu at 11.30 and should doze off by 12.10!!
See ya ppl on the weekend....hopefully
Off to bhopal
Uncle mite go home this wkend....lagta hai is baar shaadi pakki ho hi jayegi....which reminds me Mota is also here on 17th....I heard Mota is very upset with Kosal for what he wrote about Baby on the blog...."Kaushal se baat karne ka toh toh matlab hi nahi banta yaar, tch tch tch" is what he was heard saying ;)....m sure after he reads my post he'l +vely hate me ;).....come on Kop Anfield....u've got enough footage on the blog..mission accomplished na ;)....ab kuch likho bhi
Where is the Adidas yaar....agreed that u cant post from office but make some use of the 22k u spent on ur comp at home na....or maybe she is just busy speed dialling ;)....waise bhi talk time offers are getting better by the day ;)..... Hope u are not angry or sthg....even if u r write na :)
No1 has written nethg abt the wkend plans....actually no1 has written nethg....come on guys thoda sa time toh we can take out na....btw just wanted to check with u guys if I can invite Bobby and Pallavi to the blog as members.....I know no1 will object but was just trying to live up to the spirit of democracy ;)....so lemme know....

lovely lovely monday morning :)
Masters of the Mind
Monday blues
Uncle is still here, after postponing his departure twice....and must say his post shud have had a bibliography in the end ;)....come on uncle buck up man.....
Vid dont take offence but no1 knows who ur boss is and who her boss is, and I dont think ne1 is interested also ;).....I agree that u have to get it out of your system but u can drop "God is in detail" when ur writing such things....
I know why Mota isnt contributing....m sure he is too disturbed with the "sexplicit" scenes baby is doing...Ankahee looks like a brilliant business deal but....the director just bought all the tapes of Aftab and Esha making out ;) and made a movie out of it....too bad none of us will sympathise with him....but Kop Anfield is in town from 17th onwards....apparently he is coming to reject a girl ;)....so lets plan sthg for this wkend atlst....HS peoples can u find the sthg the about the Elevate ;).....
BTW a friend of mine is looking for a job in the telecom sector...he has abt 4 yrs exp with the Bharti group...so in case any1 comes across sthg, plij let me know.....
What news on appraisals for all of u guys...the scene in my office is very similar to Laura's.....appraisals are supp to happen....since 1st week of may they have been p'poning....lets hope it happens this week.....

truth,lies and little malice
my boss..no..my super boss... as in the Associate Editor.. who never bothers to talk to 'keeda' reporters like me.. physically came in and yelled at me!! why? because my boss decided to make her boss happy.. but her boss (the asso editor)was not happy with what my boss made me do.. so..eventually.. sabne mujhe aage kar diya jab gaali khane ki baari aayi!!!
tch! did you guys read abt the medical students' strike? well, most of our editors were stuck in the traffic jam because of the strike.. so ..my boss told me re-write my copy, and focus on how the students brought the city to a standstill... which i reluctantly did. At 10.30 .. the asso editor ..came in and told me..that main point about the strike and health services being paralyzed is in the fourth para!! and my immediate boss didnt even bother to say that she made me do so!!! aarrrgghhhh
Masters of the Mind

Masters of the Mind
bahut it boring din hai aaj ka..and khatm bhi nahin ho raha!! just 7.30!! aaj meri byline story mein idiots on the desk gv a wrong headline... basically arth ka anarth ho gaya! and that doctor (jisne stroy di thi) called me at 7 in the morning to say dat 'aapko atory samajh nahin aayi thi toh aap pooch lete'!!
anyways.. m trying to get in touch with this fraud NGO..Khushi.. jo rahat fateh ali khan ka concert org kar raha hai... if something works out tis great.. warna.. tkts saste hue toh khareed lete hain.. i mean..after all NGO hai..
Masters of the Mind
Another excruciatingly long and boring day is thankfully coming to an end. George is coming to Gurgaon but we're going for the Air Supply concert thanks to the free passes that his company has donated...incidentally George has 4 extra passes but I heard that the rest of the Gang in this part of NCR was too busy to come along. You plebeians will never learn to appreciate the finer things! Par Air Supply itna dheela band hai...ki woh hamesha rote hi rehtein hain. Will tell you tomorrow how it was.
No plan for Saturday yet...I'm ok with Ice Age unless the macho dudes have some other option.
p.s Aabhas..your version of the George and Laura story sounds more believable. Bhai's story was too diplomatically correct to be true..knowing our jingbang, they can't have such a well thought out reason behind these crooked names;-)
btw...went to Sartori last week, ok food..bloody expensive..I think we should rule that out. Bernados' in Gurgaon is a good option but strictly for extra chicken eaters...For the veggies not much variety really. Will speak to some of my HS colleagues and come back with some restaurant options tomorrow.Lets try and go to a place that has dal chawal on the menu. My Nanu is not supposed to have any spicy food for the next two weeks atleast as per the doctors recommendation. And i'm going to get killed for writing this:-)
Some bhasad happened at office also..one of the partners has quit and the other two are busy explaining to all and sundry that it wasn't because of them and was an amicable separation..Crazy times..one partner suddenly walks off and leaves! Useless piece of gossip...just felt like tellin all of you. M off to the concert now..time to shut shop here...hope thoda kam rona dhona karenge Air Supply log...Catch ya'll tomorrow.
We havent got any ideas on saturday which thankfully is coming closer :)...one more day 2 go...although t'row is really bad for me...the entire day m in a training workshop for a client....so pleej think of wat we can do...
Btw George is coming to gurgaon today i think...he called for some directions....maybe we can meet in g'gaon today then....wat say Laura :).....
Some Gatesian Thoughts :)
Amazing for a man who does not have a college degree, having dropped out of Harvard to establish Microsoft. Here are some memorable Gatesian observations:
The ones I liked are in Bold and Italics :-
- "I wish I wasn't (the world's richest man). There's nothing good that comes out of that. You get more visibility as a result of it."
- At a chat show for a television channel in New Delhi in December 2005, he shared the platform with Infosys Chairman N R Narayana Murthy. When the mike was handed over to Murthy to test, he said, "One, two, three..." into it and gave it to the Microsoft czar, who promptly said, "One billion, two billion, three billion..."
- "My success, part of it certainly, is that I have focused in on a few things."
- "Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can't lose."
- "If you think your teacher is tough, wait until you get a boss. He doesn't have tenure."
- "Life is not fair; get used to it."
- "Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life has not. In some schools they have abolished failing grades; they'll give you as many chances as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to anything in real life. Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you find yourself."
- The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something before you feel good about yourself.
- You will not make $40,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.
- "In business, by the time you realise you're in trouble, it's too late to save yourself. Unless you're running scared all the time, you're gone."
- Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word for burger flipping - they called it opportunity.
- Television is not real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.
- "There will be 'two societies' in the future: high-paid knowledge workers and low-paid service workers."
- "If you're asking whether I intentionally mess up my hair, no, I don't. And certain things, like my freckles, they're just there. I don't do anything consciously. I suppose I could get contact lenses. I suppose I could comb my hair more often."

hmm..so u mean m lazy!!
George and Laura ka credit is fine....but I think Condi and D Cheney came from me...Kosal will be the arbitrator ;)....
Hamas sent me the msg as soon as he met Yuvi I think....and the first thght that came to my mind was 'retaliation'....dont blame the guy....no1 is supp Israel....US, India and even Kop Anfield is taking pot shots.....Prez started defending him but Israel being Israel, doesnt trust US ;)....
No news from Kop Anfield....heard that the poor guy is having heat strokes...'coz it is so garmi everyday in raipur...must have forgotten to close his bedroom window, coz there is no other way he is exposed to the heat ;).....
So lets finalize on a dinner place....heard a new italian has opened in VV ;).....Sartoria or sthg like that.....or there is Bernardo's in Gurgaon......but in case we r planning to head to S.E. for m'mind then maybe we can go to Stone or Lil'Italy in Def Col....hope by t'row mrng we have some more options....
